Prefab Shop
Our prefab shop is a tremendous benefit to our customers. While the excavating and foundation portion of the work is taking place, our prefab team is hard at work back at the shop. The prefab foreman is working with the drawings to determine what items on the project can be prefabricated.
Electrical rough in items are fabricated, boxed, labeled, and palletized to ship to the job site. At the point in the project where the general contractor is ready for the rough in phase, we are in and out of rooms quickly so that the sheetrock contractor can start their work. This really speeds up the rough in on the job allowing the project to move forward and complete earlier.
Prefab really makes sense for the general contractor by considerably cutting down on the amount of trash generated at the job site. It also makes sense for our company allowing easier handling of materials, removal of trash, a well lit work space, better access to tools and materials, and a climate controlled atmosphere. |
