USPS Distribution Renovation

Location: Portland, ME

Contract Amount: $530,000
General Contractor: Paul J Rogan Construction

A complete renovation of the electrical distribution system. This was a very complicated job in an operational mail handling center. Multiple shut downs were required throughout the project. It was critical that the Postal Service maintain delivery service throughout the project. The project included removing the existing main distribution gear, installing new exterior main distribution gear, replacing distribution and sub panels throughout the building, a new motor control center and feeders to all of these new pieces of equipment along with re-feeding other existing equipment.  Falling off schedule was not an option and high levels of coordination were paramount. This project took place at the Forest Avenue post office location in Portland.
